New spin on our journey!

It was a rainy morning on the 23 of July, fortunately we had great neighbors and brother in-law who faced the torrential downpour to help us move boxes into the Uhaul.  iJason and Thomas came down Friday night and I got to spend the day with Thomas. They left for home Saturday night.  Tara came over to help us deep clean the house, and finish the remaining packing so we could hit the road for Idaho after church got done on Sunday.  We have been truly blessed by the neighbors God gave us in Portland, and the support of those on Campus, faculty and students.
.
We pulled into my parents yard, early Monday morning around 7 a.m because of sleeping for a few moments outside just inside the Border of Idaho.  One exciting moment was when I got pulled over for no lights on around my license plate.  The cop was very nice and I got away with a warning!
Monday we scrounged the newspaper looking for a place to rent since the one we thought we had fell through. So my wonderful parents watched the kids, Shane and I went looking but nothing came through for that day.  We remained positive that with us truly homeless, God had something grander than we knew and had to rely on Him.  True to His style, we looked in the paper on Tuesday and called on a few places.  We found one in Filer, for reasonable rent, called the lady and took a look.
When we pulled into the drive, we fell in love.  It is a 1920's farm house, six bedrooms, two huge baths.  It has recently been remodeled with four rooms completed. The front two facing the road have not been redone at this time.  Unfortunately we weren't sure we would get it and had to find someplace to put our belongings. So we found a storage unit not to far from Filer, and Shane started unloading the Uhaul, since it had to be returned in the morning, and we thought Shane had to be on the road by Thursday of that week.
Like Most God's timing, we got a call around 3 pm that the house would be open if we'd like to take a look, met the gal and found out she knew my parents which worked as a plus.  We were able to get the keys  pay a deposit and first months rent, and started moving in that night.  My parents were a big help moving our boxes and furniture inside so we could get the Uhaul returned.  We stayed the night at my folks and came back the next morning with parents to get boxes unpacked.  My Aunt Wilda and cousin Tad also came over to help that day and the next.
When Shane got ready to leave on Friday we were met with a surprise that his cousin didn't have any work for him that coming week, but might in the future.  So first we panicked, then we prayed, and then we searched for possible jobs to get us through the time of no job.
We enjoyed the fourth with my parents, and went to the rodeo that night.  Still no job in sight, and making the house our home.  Shane helped out my parents with plumbing problems and Wilda fencing, during the week.  The kids even went to a VBS in Wendell, which for those who aren't from Idaho is across the canyon from Filer. The night of the 5th the excitement started with Shane receiving text from his cousin asking him when he could get to North Dakota!  And could it be in the next 24 hours!  So we packed the Van, said our goodbyes once again and Shane headed to North Dakota the night of the 5th.

It has been an interesting month with Shane at work.  The kids and I have been blessed by my Aunts, and Parents coming over and helping me get the house established.  Letting me borrow their lawnmower, and truck to pick up things I've received or bought.  We've been blessed by warm temps, sleep overs, and Kelli turning 9, and of course our first paycheck!   It is a huge place with plenty of space for the kids to play and me to mow and water :-) God really has blessed us and kept us united as a family as Shane is away.  He has also kept me sane and un hermit like as I tend to get when Shane is away.

Shane is coming home on the 30th and arriving on the 31st, were excited he'll be home soon.  I have dinners with friends I've become reacquainted with since arriving back into Idaho, and hopefully our dear friends the Meyers might be coming down too to see us.  God has truly blessed us and kept us safe this past month.  Making things work when we didn't have faith, and showing us His hand is in all our actions and words.

Thank you to all who have helped us out and have prayed for our well being.
