Trying to Finish Well!

Just trying out a new picture. Thought since I feel like nothing is simple I'd try looking into the deeper meaning of this picture. Smirk!! hehee it's just pretty and the other one didn't work right. Things in the Portland Lambings lives, Shane had this week off of school class because it was Missions week at school. So he still had to attend sessions and do homework that the teachers assigned from the week before, it just gave him some flexability. Kristi (myself) started two class Monday evening and the other Tuesday evening. The thing most remarkable about this is I'm in the Degree Completion Cohort that Shane was in until last Sept. His group graduated this past Dec. and the school started the Lambda cohort back up this spring. It seems weird that I can walk across campus where as Shane had to drive down to Portland every Monday for a little over two years and back every Monday/Tuesday Morning to Lake Stevens. Also having duplicates of the books he brought home ...

Well my blue eyed baby boy turned 1 today, we had some friends over Sunday for lunch and cupcakes which my friend Erin made from scratch for us. Today the kids and I sang him happy birthday with a candle in the remaining cupcake. Thought he should get a candle, and sung to by the kids. I've been singing to him since Friday. Since we tried having him earlier then when he came. I also decided I didn't want him on Valentines day, and to wait an extra day to Grandma Joy Lambings birthday which they now share. Plus Shane wouldn't let me have the middle name Valentines if he was born on that day. Bummer (teasing Shane) :-) It's a family name . Seth Jacob is getting so big and walking more then one or two steps but across the room now. He loves climbing my steps to upstairs, and discover the fun things in Dad's office or our room. Wrestling with Daniel or Mom, loves trying to wrestle with us and growling. Laughing at all the silly things Sissy Kelli does to entertain...

We had a busy weekend which is sometimes the norm around here. Our house hosted a birthday party for one of the girls we've taken under our wings. There is a house of four girls all in their early twenties who've come over for dinner, movies, games and watching the kids when we've asked. Becca turned 25 this last Saturday and her roommates threw her a birthday party at our house. Then my best friend from Seattle, non Sister Denise came down for the weekend. It was great we watched movies, caught up with all that was going on in our lives. We took her and her son Chad to Multnomah Falls and just had a grand time. My back is hurting so I'm taking it as easy as one can with a household of respondsiblities. Kids are doing good but a bit strung out from staying up late for a few nights this last Friday and Sat.

Well my little girl turned three this past weekend. We had a quiet day with the Meyers from next door coming over late afternoon and having a playdate with cake. Dakota snuck some of the packages from my Mom into her bedroom to open during the day which made me laugh.
