Trying to Finish Well!

Well we had hoped the proper winter with snow & freezing temperatures would stick around, but alas it didn't. Shane worked some late nights last week, since he took Tuesday off to take me to my midwife appointment since roads were slick from the snow. Dakota is doing good, I think she is going to be a big baby at least long. We are all trying to survive till Shane takes off of work and Marie is able to come down. Not much else to report Thanks for the comments, keep them coming. I love saying Cheese! So photogenic, I don't get it from my parents!

The snow storm promised Wednesday morning came and continued through the evening. Then temperatures really dropped and it froze and has stayed frozen. Kids enjoy it though I only let them out for about 20 min. then bring them inside to warm up. Taking it easy as I'm moving into the more uncomfortable stage of pregnancy as we prepare to have this little girl. My friend Tessa is due to have her little boy Monday via c-section. Not much to say, everything pregnancy wise is going good. Just counting the days til my mother in law arrives and Shane takes off from work. Kelli and Daniel continue to grow and show Shane & I continually how big they are. They now have there beds stacked, Kelli wants to go to bed early to sleep in her top bunk. Daniel isn't too sure, but if you stay with him til he's asleep he'll stay in his bed til morning. Were expecting another bad windstorm tonight along with chance of snow til Wednesday afternoon. I'm glad I don't have to worry about my trees falling on the cars. Neigh goes the horse! What a pair! Daniel the dinasour Love, SKKD

Well the countdown has begun, maybe not officially. But unofficially things are starting to get figured out in the anticapation for the arrival of Dakota. Sorry Misty no name change this late in the game! ;-) The kids are doing great, finally beating this cold they've had for a while. Okay it seems like a month, but only been since before Christmas! They are readjusting to home, and the new rules we are applying to Daniels world before Dakota arrives. Had a good midwife checkup this week, see them again next Monday. Any request on seeing pictures of my belly. I personally think this is the biggest it's been since my belly button actually is an outie now. New definition of book mobile! Looks like homeboy is doing some reading? Kelli and her monkey pajamas! Which she loves Aunt Laila! Love SKKD

Christmas day was a less stressful day for all. We didn't get to opening present until around noon, it was a late starter for most. Except the kids! Great Grandma came back over to celebrate Christmas. Daniel opened his first present which was a tractor set and he was done. Except when Grammie got her cast iron dish open then he had to pack the lid around on his head. Shane & Kids spoiled me with some wonderful presents not sure when I'll use them all but will try. Kelli & her bumblebee sleeping bag! Next day we got a group photo taken at Sears which was another ordeal. But Kelli brighten it when it was just my folks & sister, by putting the froggie on her head and sneezing it off! Later that night after dinner it went back to just 4 adults, 2 kids and a dog.
