Trying to Finish Well!

Here are some more Birthday Pictures! First off though had a great 3 day weekend in San Diego visiting Dawna & Kurt. Helped sort and brought few items back with me. I had fun visiting some different spots with Dog parks, walks along the beach, and great Mexican food. Can't wait till they are up here for good, Sunday Monday. Get to dog sit Arrow from Thursday on! Yesterday was Daniel's first birthday! So naturally Shane & I have been reflecting the Changes that have come along in the years time. Starting off at 9lbs 21inches, to being 23lbs and 31 inches. From just rolling over, to walking quite well and talking up a storm. I'm very proud of both kids and how well behaved they are around others. From a little boy who looks like he was in a boxing match To a little man eating birthday cupcake! Enjoying the beautiful weather this week Talk to you hasta SKKD

As promised a picture of Shane & Kelli running around outside acting silly in the Sunshine! We had absolutely gorgeous weather Monday thru Friday, then of course cuz Shane was home this weekend it rained! House paperwork is coming along, designer is suppose to be here on Tuesday to look at site. Gearing up for this coming weekend with mothers day and Daniel's First Birthday yeah! Doesn't seem possible. Also Daniel has come up with a new cool habit, when asked a question and he wants to do it he will nod his head and say "yes". If the answer isn't "yes", he just looks at you like your silly. Another new thing is "Sister getup", he started this Saturday. Looks like this summer is going to be busy with Travel & work. Hope this fines everyone in Excellent spirits & health.

This weekend was a lot of fun for all. Of course it rained Saturday, but Sunday made up for it. Shane couldn't wait to get outside after church to enjoy the Sun. Kelli and him ran around the yard waving arms and crying for joy. It was so funny,of course the camera needed the batteries recharged, and by the time I found the new ones, got it changed and got ready they were done. I'm hoping they will do it again so I can get a picture. It was so funny! The picture I'm showing is from Easter Sunday in Alaska.

This picture is from our time in Alaska, Grandma Marie, Kelli & Sadie their Border Collie pup. Kelli absolutely loved chasing and being chased by Sadie. They both had fun with the frezbie, it was funny to watch Kelli run away and Sadie try to heel her. Or Sadie trying to herd the group of us together. Since getting back Kelli, Daniel, and I have come down with Stuffy noses. Hopefully Shane has avoided this round. I will be glad of summer and warm temps. Hope all is well with everyone!

We were working on the yard this afternoon when Daniel picked up the rake that I just set down and decided to help Shane with the yard! Daniels fear factor is pretty low, it was like he would take on the lawn mower if given a chance. He would just stare it down anytime it made a pass. Sister would jump into the chair or run to wherever I happened to be. Hope this finds everyone in good health.

Well life has diffently been going in fast forward for the last week. We have been up to Alaska and back spending time with Shane's Mom & Dad. Kelli played with Grandma & Sadie the dog. Fun was had by all, and Shane & I soaked up much appreciated sunlight. As Shane says "burning the moss off our backs." My sister Dawna & her Husband our in the area house hunting this weekend hopefully get to see them while they are this close. Daniel is walking like a pro taking more steps and getting into greater mischief. Kelli sentences are getting clearer, and adding new words. Shane is busy with work surprise surprise & I'm busy raising kids. Hope this finds everyone in good health.

Daniel discovered how to turn on the water in the bathtub the Wednesday night, so last night I let him play with the water and learn the feel of water cascading. Kelli is constinently learning about sharing and it's not nice to hit brother when he is trying to play with you. I thought this picture showed a good example of Kelli sharing with Daniel.

We are still teaching Daniel the things he shouldn't have, (Garbage Can, Toilet Paper, Computer Mouse & Keyboard) He tried so hard to look innocent when he knew otherwise.

Beautiful Day outside so the Kids & I played around and took pictures. Daniel was trying to lift the bricks that were left out and the resulting picture happened. Too funny not to share.

For those unaware Shane & I are going to try adding on to our existing home. We have a link for those who want to see what the inside layout is for now until we get preliminary drawings this week. Also new is Daniel is walking rather well until he decides he has to be there really fast! He has also discovered the joys of velcro!! We will keep people updated on the house!

The other day Kelli was being silly and was trying to hide from Daniel under the blanket, Daniel would lift it up and try to bite whatever was showing! Then Kelli would cover herself back up. Both of them where laughing it was very infectious laughs. Also Daniel is cutting in his two top teeth!

Kelli picked up a idea from Grandma Joy, when Daddy isn't feeling Well, rub his feet like GG Joy did. Also Daniel discovered Toilet Paper the other week and how well it comes of the roll, I heard the tell tale sounds of thrumb, thrumb, "heh heh". When I walked in with camera Daniel had half the roll off, and Kelli had it stretched into the living room to tattle on him! Kids are slowly getting over colds! Shane is getting better, and I'm hanging in there! ;-)

Well it's official Daniel took his first steps last night! I have the video if anyone is interested in seeing it. If not I have a picture of him standing on his own! Kids are still snotty nosed!

Well we are recovering from the Fun & Excitement from Last week with Great Grandma Joy & Cheryl. Both kids have snotty noses this week, so out come the clorox wipes & Anti-viral kleenix. We had a bit of excitement last night Daniel stood on his own in the middle of the living room for about a couple seconds the first time & about a minute the last before Mom sweep him up in a hug of congratulations. He really would prefer to walk everywhere, but for short distances he walks with handholds. Kelli is being a very good Big Sister, playing & sharing with Daniel most times. Found out my class reunion is going to be July 15th this year. Doesn't quite feel possible. Hopefully we can head down a few days early to spend time with my folks & visit friends I haven't seen for awhile. -Kristi

Another fun tour we took while Grandma Joy & Cheryl were visiting was that of Mariners Stadium. Of course we had to spend the time waiting for the tour to start shopping. Kelli picked out the pink jacket and matching hat herself then tried pom poms & as you can see big hands. It was a neat tour got to see some fun things.

When Great Grandma Joy & Cheryl where here, we took them on a Ferry Ride to Whidbey Island and spent the day driving and exploring the Island. Of course it was windy but still a beautiful sight. Grandma Joy mentioned "how she loves Ferry rides, because there is no water to take them on in Kansas."

Great Grandma Joy came to visit for a couple days and enjoyed the Grandkids. They warmed up too her, and we walked her legs off going to see the sights.

My sister Neva reading Kelli & Daniel a story last week. They both liked the story so much Neva read it over several times. What a great Aunt!

Since Daniel is crawling better these days instead of Gliding, Kelli now racing him towards picture time. Kelli is classic hare getting distracted by various objects along the way while Daniel plugs along. Soon they will be running!
