Sharing the Love
I wanted to do a post today because we've been drained lately with the burden of the house and feeling like we have two pennies to rub together just to get friction. We've been trying to take on the small things like getting kids fed, getting them to school, to bed and loving on them inbetween. Also getting homework done, taking care of taxes, and going to church. Then giving the rest to God, like our home in Lake Stevens and trying to sell the Pacifica.

We decided we would take a much needed trip North to Washington State, and see some Friends and Family the first part of Spring Break. It was awesome, we didn't get to see everyone we wanted to but we feel recharged, encouraged, and very well loved.
Friday night we had a Game night for some of our Friends here at Multnomah, our friend Chris who Shane met the first day of Orientation who is active Airforce. He got called to Afghanstan just after New Year, he got home sometime last week and gave us a call Friday night. So we were able to feed him and Thank him for his service and welcome him back home. I was able to have some girl chats with my friend Erin and Becks.
Saturday mid-afternoon we loaded up and headed North destination Lake Stevens/Marysville/ Everett. We stopped by the house in Lake Stevens to check it out and see what was happening. Our Neighbor Dave caught us up on quite a few people coming by and looking at the house. He has been a very good neighbor since we moved to the house and since we've moved out. He has been mowing the lawn and making sure nothing froze during the cold spell. We also decided to dig up a Huckleberry bush from down below and move it south with us. Hopefully it is hearty and will thrive in the pot.
Our friends the Carters whose daughter Caylee has been Kelli best friend since she was 3, had us over. We were able to visit with them a some more friends from the Friday night bible study we used to attend and have a BBQ. It was beautiful weather and enjoyable time catching up with these good friends.
That night I drove over to our friends the Daniels to visit Denise while Issac was a X-box with Shane. We watched 'Cold Comfort Farm' while the kids slept on the other side of the couch, and chatted until midnight. She is a very special friend too me, we have grand plans of retiring to Europe when we reach our 70's. The next morning she fixed us all scones and off to Church we went.
Sunday found us at our home church Alderwood Community Church and at the Encouragers class. It was such a blessing to us to be with these group of people and fellowshipping with them once again. We updated them on the current happenings with the house and how school is going for us. The love of our close friends we no longer see every sunday is such a testament to God's love. And a continual blessing.
Sunday afternoon we caught the ferry to Whidbey Island to visit Sharon, Jessica, & Rachel Pursel who are a Grandma & Aunts to the our kids. We meet Neva, Jason, and Thomas there.
It was so fun to see my nephew and how he's grown since Thanksgiving time. We had an enjoyable day with them all. That night we caravaned down to Everett with Neva & Jason to spend the evening with them. Catching up on the happenings of eachothers lives.

Today we headed back, we were unable to see my sister Dawna and family which is very sad. Hopefully it won't be so long now between visits North. When we arrived home and checked our email and phone messages, we found that an offer was put down on the house in Lake Stevens yesterday afternoon. So we are hopping through more hoops with the banks and all the paperwork for sale and closing. It's taken 10 months, lots of prayers and we just keep praying that the sale of the house will go through.
What an awesome God we serve, when we feel like we're in a drought he sprinkles water on us to keep us alive and growing.
