Scattered by the winds

So God got Shane & I's attention about some things last week. Not a very fun lesson, but one that needed to be reminded to us. As I told Shane yesterday I feel like I stepped on a land mine and I am slowly finding pieces to put back to gether. To recap all three kids are on Anti-botics for ear infections, and finishing up Sinus infection. Kelli's hearing is still not good, but we are using ear candles on her nightly to help clear up the wax in her ears. She will be retested in two weeks. We had beautiful weather this past weekend, the kids and us made the most of it. With playing in the pool and just running around. We had some friends over Sunday and one of Shane Co-workers and family over Monday. They live in the area surrounding Lake Stevens. Sherman is getting fixed today, his little soldiers will be no more. The fine for not having him fixed and licensed is very painful, so I thought it would be best to fix that. Shane didn't have to drive to school, but worked on...

Continuation of Daniels Birthday

Image
On Saturday we had some family & friends old & new come over to play on the completed playyard that Shane & I purchased and put together for the kids. What is that mess?Uncompleted playyard! We ended up having 9 kids including ours and 13 adults. It was a lot of fun catching up with friends we haven't seen in quite a while and chatting with new friends, and seeing my sisters & husbands. Uncle Steve was a good sport once again playing tag with all the kids, pushing them on the swings. Dawna, Kurt, & Bryn stayed for dinner so we were able to chat with them a little bit longer. Mystery cake, it suppose to look like "Nemo" from the disney movie? My attempt at creative. Not to bad personally. Thanks Darla for the idea of Cupcakes. With the nice weather Thursday - Sunday the pollen levels and other things make the kids and I congested have been going crazy. UGH let it stop. There is my rant, much better now, in one aspect. Shane is finishing up his second c...

Daniel's Birthday Fun Part 1

Image
So yesterday was my bright eyed boy 3rd Birthday. And oh my gosh what a busy day it turned out to be. With Shane working part of the day (we had originally thought him not working) hahahaa busy boy He is. I got my hair cut, dropped Kelli & Caylee at school, came home then carpooled with Neva to drop Pontiac off a mechanics, came home Shane was home and he a Daniel ate lunch, then twenty minutes later, went to pick Kelli up from school. Came home worked on the Play Yard we bought for kids, Daniels Big Present. Then changed clothes loaded up to go picked Pontiac up, came home changed Dakota's clothes because she got sick in the car. Loaded up again, with Kelli riding with Aunt Neva in her truck, went to Red Robins for Dinner, Self explaintory! Right? He turned Shy and crawled into Daddy's lap, that's him trying to hide not cry. then Daniel rode with Aunt Neva to Ice Cream at Spotted Cow Creamery. Yummy!! Started for home way past bed time, stopped by Lowes for more drill...

Family Night Out

Image
Saturday was Seed Laws Family Night Out, it was held at the Seattle Aquarium. What a blast Jason and our friend Sydney were able to join us and the kids. Kelli, Daniel ran around like crazy people trying to see all the fish and various kinds of otters they offered. Dakota when she was loose stood in awe of the fishes and wanted to touch. They all did great despite it being bed time. :-) not good quality but with the flash you couldn't see the water and fish. Today was Dakota's 15 month well child checkup. She is 30"tall, 22 lbs 9.6 oz, she's not quite like Sis and Bro at this time of life. So we have a shorty for a while that okay she is a sweet little girl.

Date Night

Image
So Last Night, Chad bless his heart came over to watch the kids so I could go down to Seattle to meet Shane at his office. Then we walked over to the Mariners game against Detriot. We took some pictures of the various players, Kenji, Ichiro, Lopez, Rhodes, Morrow. The last three names are pitchers for the Mariners, and then Catcher, and Ichiro now plays center field and is an awesome hitter and base stealer. Shane & I have watched his career with the Mariners since he arrived from Japan the year or two before Kelli was born. We went the FanFare the year they signed him. Lopez getting ready to pitch! Ichiro in action Morrow warming up in the bullpen It was a great game, some obnoxious fans that I could do without. It's just a game! I wanted to say outloud quite a few times. We left our seats early to go watch Rhodes & Morrow warm up in the bullpen at the bottom of 7th. On the way to the game and back to the bus stop, the same drunk guy came up to my face and told me that ...

Did you happen to get the number of that Truck?

Crazy week with some slow but not much. Gave each kid a hair cut this morning. Kelli didn't need it as much as she asked nicely for one. Dakota got her first, I just cut her bangs, Daniel was getting shaggy. Have various happenings with some girlfriends from church this weekend. Yeah extended Girl weekend. Bless Shane for allowing me to get recharged. before her hair cut Such a patient little girl (for this) :-) Trying to snow not sticking. Yuck we had gorgious weather last weekend. Weird weather.

Lion versus Lamb

Image
Now I'm not sure my quote is correct but whoever said that the month of March is "in like a Lion out like a Lamb"? or "in like a Lamb out like a Lion"? I like the second one better personally. It started off slow but like a rock going down hill it picked up speed a basically ran Shane & I plus the kids over. School is going well for Shane. The class for this 5 weeks is the first 5 books of the Old Testament, plus other books with helpful information on the history of Israels Holy Days, and one other. A set of questions each week that lead to a 5 to 8 page paper. Finishing off with Final paper end of the class. Work is busy also. He got a labtop computer a week ago, which has been handy with doing homework on the train to and from work. The kids a I made a crazy trip this last week, we'd planned on spending 6 days in Idaho visiting my folks, but on day three I took Daniel into the walk in clinic because his glands were swollen and he couldn't turn his...

Babies raining everywhere!

Image
Yeah what great News Tessa & Randall! I'm very excited as you take the unexpected step and having baby number three. It's a wild ride at times wrangling them at given times but your Mom enough to take it in stride and get some time for yourself at least weekly. And have a date night with just your hubby at least every other month. Make sure to have time for yourselves nightly when the kids are tucked in bed, before falling of to sleep. Find humor in otherwise stressful situations and remember as Shane reminds me "my primary job is to keep the kids alive, everything else can be done later". Sound advice somedays! The same advice to you Alicia.! Or any mom out there with kids! :-) I'm no where near perfect, but my kids are mostly happy, healthy, adjusted kids. This works for me & Shane. Blue or Pink I can't quite decide! They probably taste the same anyways Laughing with Aunt Neva , at Uncle Kurt Getting excited about going down to my Mom & Dad'...

This Easter we did several things, on the Sat. before we went to some friends from Church to do their annual Easter Egg Hunt they put on for different families. Kelli & Daniel are yet not feeling great so Shane got Kelli to help find her eggs and I got Daniel. David Lewis graciously took Dakota around and helped find her eggs. He was so good at this they were one of the first to find all their eggs. Thanks so much Caceres Family and the Lewis Family. And to all who made last Saturday possible. It is a blessing. David Lewis helping Dakota find her eggs. On Sunday after a late night Saturday doing homework with Shane. We had a late morning and went to the last service at church. Then loaded up and went to West Seattle to my sister Dawna's & her husband Kurts house. Neva & Jason came down and our Cousin Steve (honorary uncle) was also able to join us. We had a lovely meal, got pictures of the kiddies in there Easter best and played the Wii. It was a lot of fun to spend th...

Image
Been reading up on the various happenings of others blogs. Kind of makes me feel like I should update mine. No honestly no pressure. 1st day since Sat. that I haven't had sick kiddies and not being able to anything other than snuggle. Not complaining. Kelli finally felt good enough to go to school today, Daniel is still not par, he has a heat rash from his fevers Monday-Tuesday. Dakota is getting more toothers so she isn't the happiest. I'm suffering from all the pollen & mold boy what a combination, want my windows open to get fresh air but then I stuff up and my eyes start watering. UGH can't win for loosing. Oh well!! Just to be Ornery

Image
So hehehee! To stir the perverbial pot about the Packers & Bears I will throw in my two cents. The Mariners! Oh wait that's Baseball, but it is baseball season. Waiting on bated breath for my first Mariners game of the Season. Shane & I's relationship is closely tied to the Mariners Orginazation. Our Engagement was started at a Mariners Game I know I kept the ticket somewhere. I drove down to Seattle, then we drove to the "Shane Company" to look at the diamonds and ring, get my finger sized, then back to Seattle for my first Professional Baseball Game. The year I saw Shane 10 days in 4 months, he watched all 116 games. We even went to a Playoff Game at the Stadium it was awesome. There have been some good players throughout the years. Even remember going to the Fan Fare when Ichiro first Signed with the Mariners. We even toured the Stadium with Shane cousin Cheryl. We've taken Fred & Marie, our kids Kelli & Daniel, Dakota inside my tummy and not ...

Two post in one

Well today I turn/turned 30, wow! I'm sure like my folks think it is hard to believe. My life sure has changed even this past 10 years. I was in Columbus, Ohio when I turned 20 with my Ag Club from College, 21 celebrated in Moscow Idaho, 22 Shane told me he thought an engagement ring might be too much, but he saw us married within the year, shocked my socks off. 23 was married for 3 months living in Everett, Wa; 24 living in Kent, Wa talking about one more good fire season before starting family, 25 moved to Lake Stevens, Kelli was born later in July, 26 celebrated with both my sisters & all our husbands, 27 pregnant with Daniel, 28 became pregnant with Dakota, 29 Dakota was 1 1/2 months, and 30 have three wonderful kids, a wonderful family filled with Nieces & Nephews, Parents & In-laws who are more than willing to help watch the kids for us, Wonderful Church family who have showered us in prayers these past few years, and friendships that are such a blessing to us. Let the whirlwind begin!

Image
As the title suggest the whirlwind that begins today and doesn't end til my birthday starts today. Happy Birthday Annadedria! It starts on your birthday and ends on mine:-) Shane's first class is tonight, he is going to be staying down there til Tuesday morning then flying to Seattle to go straight to work. The rest of the week is normal with Kelli finally able to go to school. Kids are all pretty much back to normal, which recently means clear runny nose. Then he leaves again Sat. afternoon to go with his folks to Fred's appointment in Maryland. He'll be back Thursday the 6th, go to work. Then work Friday (my birthday). Whew!! Had a pleasent weekend, spent some of our tax return boosting the economy. We replaced our aging playstation 2 with a Wii. Ninetendo it was lots of fun and even Kelli got to particapate. Aging meaning Shane bought it the first summer we were married and I was fighting fires. I will let everyone know what my other birthday present is next week. I...
