Let the whirlwind begin!

Image
As the title suggest the whirlwind that begins today and doesn't end til my birthday starts today. Happy Birthday Annadedria! It starts on your birthday and ends on mine:-) Shane's first class is tonight, he is going to be staying down there til Tuesday morning then flying to Seattle to go straight to work. The rest of the week is normal with Kelli finally able to go to school. Kids are all pretty much back to normal, which recently means clear runny nose. Then he leaves again Sat. afternoon to go with his folks to Fred's appointment in Maryland. He'll be back Thursday the 6th, go to work. Then work Friday (my birthday). Whew!! Had a pleasent weekend, spent some of our tax return boosting the economy. We replaced our aging playstation 2 with a Wii. Ninetendo it was lots of fun and even Kelli got to particapate. Aging meaning Shane bought it the first summer we were married and I was fighting fires. I will let everyone know what my other birthday present is next week. I...

Is it really Thursday?

What a week, to start we went to Multnomah to see Shane's school. He registered go his books and met fellow students. Kelli still has runny nose so we've kept her out of school all week, (good thing it's preschool), Daniel just today isn't feeling to well. So I've given him so Ibprofin to help drop his temp. Myself I had an oops yesterday, fell off the stool while reaching for some bleach up in my bathroom, stool tipped and I went down, slow motion slam into the bathtub rim. Sore back & stubborn says If still hurts til Monday I'll go in. It's been beautiful weather all week, so the kids have been outside, and I've been airing out the house. Dakota is walking quite a bit, got video of her catching me around the kitchen. Beautiful Sunday walk with our dear friends the Carters. Kelli enjoyed riding her bike, true Cowgirl got back on after it threw her off into some blackberries. Daniels form of rebellion instead of staying in bed! Loving on her puppy! H...

Uhm Yeah .....

Poor Kelli Bug, we found something out this last weekend at her expense she is allergic to a medication. Thought we'd avoid Moxicillin when she had her sinus infection so put her on something different. Friday she started a little rash, Sat. half her body had the rash, Sunday the doctor and us figured 75 to 95 % of her body was covered in a rash. Today I'd say it gone back down to 25%. The doctor put her on prednisolone for the next couple days to help the rash go away, and we've been taking oatmeal baths, lots of neasporin, and oatmeal lotion. Movies too! I'm short on sleep, helping Kelli though the night with the intense itching. She has been such a trooper though this. Shane bless him, stayed home this morning so that I might sleep in. So that was our weekend fun, how was yours? Ah heated floors, for both Kelli & Daniel I forget how connected this blog can be to the world beyond my house, I'm glad that people who want to check up on Shane & I's life c...

One long Birthday

Image
Well here are the updates, Dakota's first birthday was Wednesday. We went over to Neva's & Jason's house, Chad, & Steve came over and we had Chilli and played a video game before taking the kids home for bedtime. We did sing Happy Birthday to Dakota throughout the day. Thursday we had Doctor appointments for Shane, Myself & Dakota. Shane took the day off so that we could go to those, and run some errands that we needed. She weighed 19 lbs, & 29 7/8 inches. She was healthly and got four shots. She was okay until she realized what was happening with the shots. Then last night we went to our friends the Carters and had dinner and Birthday cake. We even sang happy birthday. What great friends!! Yeah gifts from Grammie & Grandpa Dennis! (I can help Dad) Yummy Chocolate Cake! Precious Little Girl! Happy Birthday Aunt Misty & Happy Anniversery Uncle Wade & Aunt Anna!

Two words "MY SON"

Some funny pictures, Well to start this morning we woke up to a lovely suprize. After predicting snow for the last days, it finally snowed and so after morning cartoons 7-8 a.m. Daniel wanted to go outside to play. The story Sunday morning: Daniel was in his night clothes & pull up. Wanted to wear his cowboy boots. So he took off his night pants, put his boots on. Then he took of his shirt, next yup you guessed his pullup came off. Apparently naked is the only way you are suppose to wear your cowboy boots. He makes his mom's Cousins Vernon, & Tad proud!! Hopefully get this stopped now instead of when he's in his teens early twenties?

Heading back to school

Image
Long time no blog, life has been kind of crazy. Which isn't that new for us! Big news is that Shane is going back to school to finish his Bachelors degree in Ministry & Leadership. Our plans so far is that Shane will go for a Masters in Divinity with going into the Ministry either as a Missionary or Pastor someday. Of course God Laughs when we make plans! And sets us on the path He has chosen for us. Kelli had her first sleep over, she received good behavior stickers after last weeks demonstrating anger the wrong way at school. So after explaining that we use our words when angry at someone instead of physical emotions such as hitting. And that we obey our teacher the first time she says something instead of arguing and disobeying. She had a good remaining week and a great week this week. As her reward was having a sleep over at Aunt Neva's & Uncle Jasons last night. If it went well we are thinking of making it a reward for certain amount of good stickers she gets at sc...

Goings On

To recap these last couple weeks since rolling into the new year. Dakota grumpy cuz she is still cutting two front teeth, happy when her teeth don't hurt Daniel getting over bronchitis, still coughing occassionally, also going through growth spurt. Kelli hasn't come down with anything, started back in school today! Yippee Shane is back at work for almost a week, very busy working long hours. His Dad' s liver enzymes count went down enough during Christmas break that they were able to get a Treatment yesterday in Maryland and are heading home Wednesday. Back in Maryland around the 13th of Feb. Kristi Hum! Glad that routine is starting once again, been trying to live like a hermit and not leave the house except for Sundays. Been working for the most part even if it is unhealthy for herself or kids. Starting up again reading some excellent Christian Ladies bible studies. Pondering on many event that are coming up toward the end of the month and the next month. Enjoying kids fo...

Not Inspired

Image
As you can see this past week I've been uninspired to Blog. Most of the reason is I've been enjoying my husband company since he has not been to work since Friday the 21st. We had an uneventful Christmas with a sick Daniel, snotty Dakota cutting two top teeth. Next Day taking Daniel to the walk-in clinic and finding out he had strep throat. Today is the first time since Christmas he slept through the night and didn't wake up with a fever. Kelli is doing good, playing with her Dolls and doll house her Aunt Anna gave her. Dakota is trying to stand on her own and walking with help. We had a great Anniversary with me taking a bus to downtown Seattle. Meeting Shane near his office, and going out to dinner. We then went window shopping at the downtown Malls. When it got time to go home I told Shane that we could go cuz I saw my token Gay couple, street fight, homeless person, and enough mixed people to last a few more months til Baseball season.

Wool & Copper

As you scratch your head about the title, think of it as a quiz. No reading ahead! I'm sure some people might know what I'm talking about. Seven years ago today, I walked down the aisle all smiles focusing on my soon to be husband Shane. There is a great picture of my dad & I when we turn the corner and I make I contact with Shane. I have the biggest smile! What a joyous day, some fun little facts. Two days before my wedding I burned the ham & beans, so the families went to Jackpot NV instead and had dinner there. Parents rode together cubitizing about there respective children! Met Shane grandparents and his Cousin Wesley & Blaine. The day before my wedding I had a dentist appointment, Wade called me to say they had lost Shane in Target. Had most of Shanes family over at my house cooking the rehersal dinner. And they boys acting silly with their tux vest. The day of my wedding, two of my girlfriends and I got our hair done. Shanes Granddad told me next time he saw...

Hip Hip Horray!!

Yesterday God gave us quite the blessings, for working such long hours at work Shane got a substantial billing bonus. One of the bosses also told him how surprised he was that he far exceed the firms billing requirements for the year with taking the month off for Dakota. They are also going to give him a pay raise at the beginning of the year. Part of it is because they are loosing another paralegal, but also since Shane works very hard and brings quite a bit of money into the firm. :-) The other big blessing is within like 10 minutes after getting his billing bonus, he checks his email to find that he has been accepted into Multnomah Bible College in Portland Oregon. He is to start there degree completion program in February. SO yippee! What amazing things God is working in our lives.

An Early Christmas

Image
To start the tale, last Sunday my sisters, brother in-laws, cousin, and niece all got together before we head are seperate ways for the actual Christmas day. The kids had fun playing with "Uncle" Steve, and the rest of the relatives. Eagerly anticipating sitting on their new bikes Aunt Neva & Uncle Jason got them. We got warm jammies from Aunt Dawna & Uncle Kurt, books from Uncle Steve, Carmels, Calendars, pictures, gift cards, New DVD/Video player. Since ours died earlier this fall. We had a yummie meal, and fun just hanging out with family.

Another Convert

Image
Yippee My sister Dawna & her family have joined the blogger world. http://dennisedelmann.blogspot.com/ I'm very excited. Not sure where she found the time. Don't know where any of us find the time these days. Kids are recovering from colds this past week, myself included. Shane is working long hours trying to get various projects completed for different clients. He has already by the end of November reached his billing requirement of the year with like 1500 hours. He is at like 1575 hours since Friday. That is including the time he took of for Dakota being born or vacation in July. From when the kids didn't feel good this past week. Pretending to sleep on the cedar chest. God Bless, Kristi

Christmas Program

Image
Last night was Kelli's school Christmas Program. Oh My she isn't old enough yet! The music director picked some more advanced songs. So if they knew the words they would Sing them loud and clear. If the didn't it would be silent. :-) Kelli's friend Kyla bless her heart would try even if she wasn't sure of the words. The little girl in glasses is Kelli's friend Kyla Posing for Dad! We also got snow last Saturday. So pictures of Kelli & Sherman enjoying the snow.

Oh my!

Image
So Dakota has been trying to pull herself up to standing the last couple weeks. And if you hold her hands she will try and walk. We've been talking about moving her bed down a couple notches so when she did figure it out she would be able to fall out of bed. On Sunday I had set her on the floor in the Church Nursery after changing her diaper. Turned to wash my hands, look over and she had pulled herself up to standing using the drawer handles. Yesterday when she was suppose to be napping, I walked in because she was screaming. Walked in and found her standing up in the corner of her crib Mad because she couldn't get down. Any day now and she'll be walking.

Thanksgiving 2007

Image
It's amazing how quickly Thanksgiving Holiday comes and goes. Just last week today Mom & I were busting out Pies. We ended up making 5 pies, 1 Birthday Cake for Neva, Cooked the Sweet Potatoes, and made Dinner for 5 adults & 3 kids. Final tally of people in my folks house this holiday. 7 adults, 4 kids, and 5 dogs. My dog Sherman was outdoors, except when he snuck in for a few seconds. We even got to see Misty, Peter, Carrie and the kids on our way home. This we are slowly getting back into routine. Figuring out what to do for our anniversary on Dec. 21st. Will be celebrating our 7th anniversary! Other than that enjoy the pictures Trying to get Grandpa, with Grammies help! Having a before bedtime sippy, Grammie the must have lap! Pony ride anyone? Uncle Kurt has more room. Tight space, but manageable with Daniel The Dog Wrangler! God Bless!

They just keep growing

Image
This last week was neat I saw all kids interact with eachother. Dakota gets rather "put out" if Brother & Sis close there bedroom door and she can't get in there! :-) She is getting to be a speed crawler, not sure if ready for crawling competitions. She is also like the other kids by she likes her time by herself. And Dakota likes to try and feed herself now. We also went to Chuck E Cheese this weekend for Shane's belated birthday. Talk about Shell Shock! I probably sat in the Car after wards just enjoying the silence! "So what are we playing?" "What looks good to eat without Mom finding out?" Daniel with his Cowboy purposly playing with Dakota! We are getting ready to head down to Twin for thanksgiving with my family. Hope to Carrie, Misty and the family in Boise. Let the cousins play for a little bit. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, hope you can think of all the things your Thankful for! God Bless, Kristi

Weekend To Remember!

Image
Hello All, To give you fair warning in Advance. I (Kristi) have something I'd like to say to everyone who will listen. This Past Weekend, with the Help of my Mom, & Sisters. And the Lord allowing us this oppurtunity. Shane & I went the Family Life's "Weekend To Remember." It is a 3 day marriage conference, Family Life Today puts on all over the country. There was such a wide array of people there (about 600 people). Military families, First Responders, Newly Weds, Those about to Celebrate there 47th Anniversery, those with Children (College age, Teenagers, Elementary, Toddlers, Infants), those without Children, people working on there 1st Marriage, to 4th Marriage, Single people wondering what exactly does God have planned for Marriage. It was great! What a Ministry. There were couples like Shane & I that just (to use their analogy) needed our connectors cleaned, so we could use the full battery that is Christ in us. Some needed there battery recharged. So...

When our Journey began!

Image
Some of you may not know Shane & I's story of how we started dating. I had gotten done fighting fires for the season and decided to come up to Seattle to visit my sister Neva & her husband Jason. And possible even move in and find a job up here. While visiting with Neva, Jason arrived home with Shane, who tipped the chair I was in over. To say he swept me off my feet would be correct. It was the first time in a while that a guy older than me flirted with me. It was great! It was two days before Shane's 27th birthday. Whenever anyone ask me how old Shane is I say "27" . Like I will be forever 21 to him. Needless to say I didn't stay in Seattle but went back to my folks to spend the winter til Fire Season the next year. Visiting Shane via phone or flying to Seattle, or him coming down to Idaho. Being the Fire Princess the Summer of 1999. Quinn Raff, Lance Raff, Vern Kohler, Clem Pope, Eric Peterson, Sean McCoy, Chris ? , and Me. Shane & I at Neva ...

Is it November Already

Image
Boy time really flies when you have little kids. New things this week? Dakota turned 9 months on Tuesday. Had her checkup is now 17 lbs 5 onces, grew and 1 1/2 inches. Don't remember what she was before. She is in the 25th percentile for both height and weight. Nothing to be concerned about. Just weird after Daniel being in 100 percentile. Daniel is still fighting potty training. Boy where does that come from? Stubborn never would have thought one of my kids would be stubborn! :-) ( I know sarcasm will get me know where) Kelli is doing great she is learning new letters weekly and how to zip her coat by herself. She volunteerly did her homework last Friday before I had to ask. What a praise! We had a wonderful time working on her letter and coloring. Kelli in Preschool with Caylee & Ellie Shane is taking today and Friday off since his parents are making a surprize trip for a few days til heading to Misty's and then back to Maryland. We've now been together 8 years this N...

For Shane

A while ago Shane had asked me to put pictures up from the years back of his family and how they've grown. Here you go Love, more than happy to do so.
